EVENT ORGANISED BY: Camden Collective
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Listening to people and understanding their aims has got to be the best way to deliver projects that serve the community; and yet, it’s a real struggle for groups to find the funding and support they need. Despite the difficult circumstances we find ourselves in, some grassroots organisations, charities and designers have developed strategies to empower and facilitate local health and prosperity
A series of short presentations will be delivered at this event to inspire and demonstrate the possibilities of community action when carefully planned and nurtured, followed by a group discussion and a Q&A.
Speakers include:
- Rob Fiehn, Director of the London Society (chair)
- Pedro Gil, Studio Gil
- Sophia de Sousa, The Glass-House Community Led Design
- Adam Irvanipour, Future Changemaker, Camden Giving
WHAT THE GLASS-HOUSE WILL BE DOING
Sophia will be speaking as part of the panel about The Glass-House experience of working with community groups and organisations driving change in their areas. She’ll talk about some of the simple approaches that can be used to help connect local people and initiatives, and to catalyse collaborative action in design and placemaking.
