EVENT ORGANISED BYHertfordshire Housing Conference Ltd. (HHC)

ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Hertfordshire Housing Conference is the main event organised each year by HHC. This conference was first held in 1999 when Kerry Pollard, M.P. for St. Albans from 1997 to 2005, had the idea of bringing together everyone involved in providing and managing affordable housing in Hertfordshire to discuss and debate how more homes could be built to meet the very high levels of housing need he was encountering in his constituency work. Working initially with sponsorship from Aldwyck and Hightown  housing associations, the first conference was a great success and became an annual event attracting high profile speakers including Housing Ministers, Nick Raynsford, Hilary Armstrong, Charles Falconer and Yvette Cooper. The conference has also been very well supported by the Homes and Community Agency.

WHAT THE GLASS-HOUSE WILL BE DOING
Sophia will be running an interactive workshop on design-led placemaking, and the role of communities in shaping their homes and neighbourhoods. This playful activity will explore the process of bringing diverse people together to develop a shared vision for the future of the places that they inhabit, and to help shape new places.
