Helping community groups to improve public space, is based on research conducted by The Glass-House Community Led Design in 2008 for the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) Space.
The paper looked at community groups that were involved in improving public spaces, exploring what resources and support they had, what more they needed, and what obstacles were preventing projects from progressing. The research was based on three regional focus groups, attended by representatives of 14 different community groups, and participants of a Glass-House training course, Spaces by Design.
