The Sharing Place event series invited participants to reflect on and reimagine how we share our places and spaces. It brought people together to explore and propose more equitable ways of sharing, not just physical spaces, but also experiences, skills and the things we value most, through thoughtful and collaborative placemaking.
Supported by The Ove Arup Foundation, this year’s series was not just a conversation, but a network of safe ‘sharing places’, online and in-person, where diverse people came together to co-design more inclusive, equitable and imaginative futures for shared environments.
WEdesign is The Glass-House’s annual series of free interactive public events, held online and in-person in cities across the UK, where we explore collaborative design in placemaking through discussion, debate and playful co-design activities.
This booklet brings together the voices from across the series from all four in-person events alongside our online Debate, Closing Event and Glass-House Chat, and features excerpts from this series’ Think Pieces and participant blogs capturing the events. WEdesign 2024/25’s in-person events were held in partnership with UCL Bartlett School of Planning, Mackintosh School of Architecture at Glasgow School of Art, Newcastle University’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape and The University of Sheffield School of Architecture and Landscape.
